New tablets to buy in 2018
The projected growth of tablets in the US is from 60 million to 80 million shipments between 2013 and 2018. The increase in shipment itself shows how people are more interested in replacing their laptops with these portable gadgets. By the end of 2019 it is predicted that there will be over 180 million tablet users. Apple with their iPad Air and iPad Pros lead the market share with a staggering 25% followed by Samsung (17%), Huawei (7.5%), Amazon and Lenovo taking 6% and 5.7% respectively.

- Apple: How can one neglect the iPads which take the majority market share? Apple offers lot of choices when it comes to the tablet section starting from the iPad Pro which is powerful than most laptops. The 10.5 inch 512 gb model costs around $1000 and the 64 gb model costs around $650. Apart from the pro versions there are couple of more versions like the plain iPad and iPad mini which are wallet friendly.
- Samsung : Where there is Apple, there is Samsung. Knowing the lucrative tablet share, Samsung also has a fair share of their own tablets to eat the growing tablet market in the United States of America. Samsung has their Galaxy Tab S3 which competes directly with the Apple and comes at $500 and it is packed with loads of features. They also have Galaxy Book which is a two-in-one tablet and is valued around $1300 for the 12-inch model.
- Huawei: Many might not have heard of this brand but Huawei, a China based tele communication company is ranked third in the tablet market. They sold the most in the first quarter when compared to Apple and Samsung. Huawei has the MediaPad and MateBook series of tablets. MateBook costs around $920 and the MediaPad M3 costs around $468.
- Lenovo: Lenovo offers both android and Windows tablets. The tablets have a lot to offer making it a perfect tablet to watch out for. The Windows operated Yoga Book costs around $580 and the android operated Lenovo Tab 4 10 plus is value at $280.
